Abstract: BGP faces many bottlenecks for operating itself in the international market. To participate in the intense international market competition under the changeable international environment, the company has taken a series of creation measures for management of project operation in recent years. With the “project-focused” conception implemented, the company established the flat matrix management system that is based on “three levels and two major systems”. The performance-focusing project operation and management pattern is characterized as “performance-oriented, management at a lower level, authorization at various levels, rapid decision-making, effective support, and detailed management”. The company has promoted technological creation, innovated human resources management system, introduced multi-cultural management and effectively improved the operational capability for international projects and the risk-resistant capability of assets. Currently, the company has ranked first in the world for its onshore acquisition business and second in terms of integrated capabilities. The company has turned into a formulator of the industrial regulation from a former follower, exerting a greater influence on international geophysical market.
