Abstract: With reference to PMBOK? Guide and from the perspective of the science and technology management department, this paper analyzes the present conditions of CNPC’s technological project management. As for the technological project, which is taken as a conventional type of project, the conceptions of project management and application of tools play a role in technological project management. To further improve the company’s technological project management level, this paper proposes to enhance application of the project management knowledge system in technological project management and particularly strengthen stakeholder management of the client and user category. The paper also stresses organizational process assets management and progressive detail and change management, enhancing quantitative management of the full technology life cycle and transfer of technological results.
