摘要: 1892 年创立的美国通用电气公司(简称GE)至今仍充满创新活力、长盛不衰,源于始终把握技术领先 的主动权。文章分享了GE 在技术创新中的一些做法,公司视知识产权为宝贵资产,加强管理,加大投入,并促其不 断增值。为加强知识产权保护,GE 建立了一套严格的管理系统和工作流程,拥有稳定的知识产权工作团队,严格的专 利申请、风险评估决策规范,以及有效的商业秘密保护措施。战略性的知识产权管理机制,促使知识产权真正发挥无 形资产的作用,成为公司商业成功的推动力。

Abstract: Founded in 1892, US General Electric Company (GE) is still full of vigor at the present time. Such vitality comes from its technology-leading initiative. This article shares some methods GE has used in its efforts for technological creations. The company values intellectual property (IP) as precious asset and increases more investment and managerial efforts to keep its IP value rising. To protect its intellectual property, GE has established a strict management system and a work process on the basis of a qualified IP working team. The protect measures include specified applications for patents, standardized decision-making process for risk evaluation and effective protection of business secrets. The strategic IP management mechanism helps intellectual property play a role of intangible assets, fuelling the company’s business success.
