    Deng Xu
    2011, 30(2): 18-21.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1002-302x.2011.02.005
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1956KB) ( )
Now low-permeability reservoirs, heavy oil reservoirs, fault-block reservoirs, and other special reservoirs have become main replacement blocks of some old oil provinces in China. They are difficult to be developed economically by using conventional vertical well technology and horizontal well technology. Non-conventional well technology represented by branch horizontal well technology could achieve the goal of developing multiple reservoirs at the same time by corresponding one wellhead with a number of underground boreholes, increasing the exposed area of reservoir significantly and enhancing oil-gas recovery and sweepout of reservoir. After briefly introducing the difficulties in special oil and gas reservoir exploitation, this paper introduces the systematic non-conventional well drilling technology, well trajectory control technology, special well completion technology and reservoir protection technology in details, and points out that they have been used to nearly 80 branch wells including more than 60 fishbone-branch wells, with the success rate of drilling and completion reaching 100% and the high-grade cementing rate higher than 90%, fulfilling economic and efficient development of special reservoir and providing valuable experience for development of similar special reservoir.

    Jin Sheng-ying
    2011, 30(2): 52-54.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1002-302x.2011.02.014
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1877KB) ( )
The development trends of world fuel ethanol industry in major countries such as USA, Brazil, the European Union and China are analyzed in this paper. The results show that the pace of fuel ethanol industry is slowed down in recent years, mainly due to the impact of global financial crisis. The United States and Brazil are the world's first and second largest fuel ethanol producers respectively, and their growth in ethanol production and consumption drops significantly. Although fuel ethanol has witnessed a rapid development in the EU members, its total production and share in bio-fuels are still very low. China has paid high attention to the development of fuel ethanol industry and it now has been ranking the third in the world's third largest fuel ethanol producers. Based on the situation status, it is suggested that China focus on technology R&D of fuel ethanol industry, break industrial bottlenecks and take into full account of the fundamental realities of vast population and limited land area, and rationally control the scale and pace of fuel ethanol industry.

    Wang Guo-zheng, Wang Bin-lin, Sun Ling-qin, Liu Shu-qi
    2011, 30(2): 57-58.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1002-302x.2011.02.016
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1637KB) ( )
The phosphating of annulus coupling is critical to annulus manufacturing. Conventionally, coupling phosphating is carried out by use of strong acid or strong alkali artificially, so the phosphating quality is poor and the efficiency is not satisfying. As well the operating environment is bad, waste liquid is difficult to be discharged and the environment is thereby polluted, and meanwhile the couplings might be corroded. Compared with the commonly used cleaning methods, the ultrasonic technology is for the first time proposed to be applied for coupling cleaning, which fills the blank of phosphating with pollution-free and automatic foreprocess in China, fulfills the electromechanical integration control of coupling, improves efficiency, and reduces labor intensity of operators.

    Abstract ( )   PDF (2178KB) ( )
Directional PDC bit is mainly used to solve a series of problems in directional wells, including big anti-torque, unstable tool surface and occasional pauses of deflecting operation. With compact structure, the bit is designed based on the low-torque and high rock breaking theory, the re-broken tooth placement technique and the bottom flow field simulation technique. Using the bit, the impact of cutting anti-torque on directional orientation tool surface is minimized, drilling torque changes little, tool surface is placed stably and it has effective directional capability, good deflecting effect, fast ROP and long life. Directional PDC bit, as a characteristic bit, has a broad application prospect.

    LiuYao-xiang, Han Xin-ming, Ma Feng, Lu Tian-ming
    2011, 30(2): 63-65.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1002-302x.2011.02.019
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1756KB) ( )
In order to optimize the quality of wellbore, build-up rates may be different in different well sections among directional wells, highly-deviated wells, horizontal wells and other special-technique wells. The regular bent positive displacement motor has fixed angle, thus it is necessary to develop adjustable angle positive displacement motor so as to decrease the quantity of bent positive displacement motor. The newly developed positive displacement motor plays an important role in decreasing the quantity of tools and reducing drilling cost. And the technique used has achieved the advanced level in China.

Chen Li, Liu Bin, Li Wei-cheng, Zhang Hui-li
    2011, 30(2): 66-67.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1002-302x.2011.02.020
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1654KB) ( )
Chuan 7-5 (non-drop ball) coring tool is mainly used for coring in the φ190mm-φ244mm hole. The innovative designs are the new suspension assembly, the auto-pressure relief device and the high tension thread, which solve the technical problems that the coring tool cannot drop ball while the drill string assembles the float valves, and enhance the coring tool's reliability and security while working downhole. The coring tools have been applied to many wells featuring in high H2S, high pressure or underbalanced drilling in Turkmenistan, Sichuan and Chongqing, with the average core recovery higher than 95%, and the highest single-barrel footage being 27m. Field application shows that this type of tools has such advantages as higher resistance to pulling and torsion, and extended endurance. It can not only be used to replace other tools for conventional well coring operations, and for underbalanced drilling coring, but also for "three high" and complex well coring. This type of coring tools has broad prospect for application.
