Abstract: Global deepwater drilling business is continually on the rise with expansion of deepwater drilling service market. The record of deepwater drilling depth has been continually improved. Thanks to the robust market demand, construction of deepwater floating drilling facilities continues to be active worldwide with the number of facilities rising. However, generally speaking, those facilities are still in a short supply. Ultra-deepwater drilling business will see a significant development in a few years though it faces many technological difficulties and high risks. For example, based on acquisition of firms, investment in offshore drilling facilities, optimization of restructuring and operation of capital, Seadrill has turned itself into the world’s second largest offshore drilling contractor and the world’s first-class deepwater drilling contractor from a newly-established small firm in five years. Experience is worth learning from this company.

摘要： 全球深水钻井工作量不断增加,深水钻井承包市场规模不断扩大,钻井作业水深纪录不断刷新。由于市场需求旺盛,全球深水浮式钻井装置的建造持续活跃,装置数量不断增加,供应总体偏紧,超深水钻井船逐渐成为建造的主流。深水浮式钻井装置主要分布在"金三角"地区(墨西哥湾、巴西、西非)。深水钻井业务虽技术难度高、风险大,但仍会在短短几年时间内实现跨越式发展,如Seadrill公司通过收购公司、投资建造和收购海洋钻井装置、优化重组和资本运作等方式,仅用5年多时间由一家新成立的小公司发展成为世界第二大海洋钻井承包商、世界一流的深水钻井承包商,其经验值得借鉴。
