Abstract: Against the background of current Internet economy, the traditional energy industry focusing oil and gas is not in line with the “Internet +” dominated economic pattern in the areas of conceptual mindset, organizational structure and business model. Innovation and development have become the important research areas for energy enterprises. This article analyzes the background and characteristics of the Internet economic policies. The State has energetically promoted the “Internet +” action plan and released a series of policy documents to make the Internet combined with various industries. This article also makes in-depth elaboration on the related conceptions of the Internet economy, summarizes the Internet economic mindset and studies the influence of this pattern on the energy industry. The article puts forward the new mindset on the innovative institution and mechanism of energy companies from the angles of management system and operational mechanism and comes up with the reform suggestions on how to innovate institution and mechanism of energy enterprises from the viewpoints of business, energy companies and the nation.
