Abstract: The pulse neutron oxygen activation logging is a new kind of tools to measure water flow rate. It consists of neutron generator and gamma (γ) ray detectors. The neutrons emitted from the generator activate the oxygen elements of water in the borehole. The detectors can measure the γ rays emitted by the activated water when it passes by, thus the velocity of water flow can be calculated. The instrument has been successfully applied in polymer injection profile logging and monitoring the fluid flow behind the tube in layered water injection wells. It can also be used in finding the leakage position and channeling, inspecting of packer seal condition and casing deformation, correcting the wrong position of tools in the hole, determination of pipeline leakage and so on. This technology has created huge economic and social benefits for the company and is in the world leading level.

摘要： 脉冲中子氧活化测井仪是一种测量水流速度的测井仪器。其结构由中子发生器和特征γ射线探测器两部分组成。中子发生器发射中子,使井筒内水溶液中的氧元素活化,如果水流动,γ射线探测器就可以测出水的流动信号,进而测出水的流速。氧活化测井仪已经成功应用于聚合物注入剖面测井和分层配注井管后流体流速测量,还在找漏找窜、封隔器验封、判断套管变形、纠正错误的井下工具位置、确定管线漏损等方面获得成功应用。该成果填补了国内空白,在技术上达到了国际同类产品先进水平,推广应用后创造了良好的经济效益和社会效益。
