    KLSeis II Seismic Acquisition Engineering Software System

    KLSeis II seismic acquisition engineering software system is a large-scale system specialized in service of full seismic acquisition process, which is suitable for various landforms from onshore and transitional belt to offshore and provides technological support for goodquality and high-efficiency seismic acquisition engineering service. Based on the software platform of plug-in and 3D visualized technologies and characterized in openness, platform-crossing and high functions, the system can support software development, rapid mass data processing and complicated calculations. It has application software of five main technological families – seismic acquisition design, forward modeling and lightening analysis, seismic acquisition quality control, vibroseis and static correction. Important technological innovations are made in a number of areas, such as distribution and design of super-large observation system, analysis of pre-stack observation system attribute, realtime quality control over acquisition of mass seismic data, near-surface modeling and static correction, and vibroseis. The system finds wide application in seismic acquisition projects both at home and abroad and especially plays an irreplaceable role in high-efficiency vibroseis acquisition projects.
    GeoEast V3. 0-Integrated Seismic Data Processing and Interpretation Software System

    Bureau of Geophysical Prospecting (BGP) has committed its efforts to the challenges for China’s hydrocarbon exploration, such as the onshore exploration targets changing from structural reservoirs to subtle reservoirs and the survey areas shifting from simple near and subsurface structures to complex ones. The bottlenecks also include difficulties for imaging steeply dipping reflectors and highly-faulted small blocks. Based on conventional processing and interpretation technology of GeoEast and focusing on high-density and wide-azimuth seismic data, BGP has developed and integrated eight categories of the advanced and applicable seismic data processing and interpretation technology-pre -stack migration imaging, low SNR processing, resolution enhancement, MC data processing, modern attribute analysis, geo - body rendering, reservoir description and fluid detection. With the GeoEast V3. 0 version developed, BGP has significantly improved functions and performance of the software and entirely met the demand for processing and interpretation of onshore, offshore, MC and VSP data.
    GeoEast-Easy Track Touch-control Interpretation Software

    The wide-azimuth and high-density seismic exploration technique is widely used at the present time and has gradually become a main trend in the exploration sector. The processing methods for 5D seismic data have been well developed but the corresponding interpretation methods are still in the preliminary stage. The traditional software is not able to analyze 5D seismic data. Aiming at development of wide-azimuth and high-density seismic interpretation technique family, Bureau of Geophysical Prospecting (BGP), CNPC, has created GeoEast-Easy Track (ET) interpretation software for 5D seismic data. This interpretation software package has the unique modules for analysis, merger of data, comparison of slices, imaging of geological bodies, carbonate rock carving, interpretation of 5D data and interpretation of frequency, breaking the bottlenecks of loading, saving and calculating and displaying for the TB-level data. It perfects the company’s key seismic exploration technique series and becomes unique in three areas of software platform, 5D pre-stack interpretation and industrialization of carbonate rock reservoir recognition. As the company’s unique interpretation software platform, it has been widely used both at home and abroad. When used in Tarim Oilfield, it helped improve precision of fractures by more than 20 percent and drilling success by more than 10 percent, solving the complicated geological problems in China and playing an important role in improving oil and natural gas exploration and development success.
    LG360 / 50 Coiled Tubing Unit

    CNPC Drilling Research Institute developed LG360/50 coiled tubing unit to satisfy the domestic demand for shale gas development. The whole unit is a two-truck-mounted structure in a self-propelled manner. The main vehicle chassis adopts a frame structure with the drum installed in a sunk manner. The capacity of the drum is ?50. 8mm while coiled tubing is 4800 meters long. Based on synergetic control over hydraulic system automation and key components as well as the study of control technology for ultra-low tripping-in stability of coiled tubing, the stable and reliable mechanics-electronics-hydraulics integrated technology is established to effectively improve automation level and operational safety of the whole control system. Currently, LG360/50 coiled tubing has been widely used on the field, thus promoting rapid development of coiled tubing technology in the shale gas development area and effectively improving China’s coiled tubing engineering technological service capacity.
    Petroleum Casing Products of SEW Series

    Oil casings of the SEW series, such as J55, N80Q, P110, BSG- 80TT, BSG- 110TT and BX55 expandable casing, are developed by means of the processes like HFW, heat stretch-reducing and pipe over-length heat treatment. The developed casings of the SEW series are tested for sizes and mechanical properties. The results indicate that the SEW oil casings have a better performance for strength and toughness than seamless casing of the same steel grade. The impact tenacity of the SEW casing is improved by about 30 percent. The consumption of steel pipe is reduced by about 3 percent at the same well depth owing to high geometric precision and small wall thickness tolerance of the SEW casing. Collapse resistant strength of BSG-80TT/110TT is 8 percent higher than the required value of Q/ SY 1394-2011. The SEW expandable casing of BX55 steel grade is successfully used in expandable casing completion service for deep sidetrack horizontal well in Tahe Oilfield, making three domestic records for expandable casing at that time-the deepest well for tripping-in, the largest deviation angle and the longest distance of continuous expansion.

    Casing with BJC-1 premium connection is developed on the light of the characteristics of China’ s low-pressure and lowpermeability oil and gas fields. The ABAQUS finite element analysis software is used to make simulation analysis of the properties of this connection while composite load test, heat cycling airtight test and limit load destructive test are made according to ISO 13679-2002 Inspection Standards and on the basis of the general service condition of the oilfield. The analysis results indicate that all the functional indexes entirely satisfy the design requirements. Field application also confirms BJC- 1 premium connection has a series of functional advantages, such as good connective strength, reliable airtight performance, easy to be cleaned, smooth make-up in the well, good antiadhesive ability, high service efficiency and excellent curve stability. BJC-1 premium connection benefits cost-effective development of China’s low-pressure and low-permeability gas fields.

    G12V190ZLDT gas engine adopts the latest control concept and control device as well as the closed-loop electric control system with the ability for lean combustion. It is characterized for high intelligence, low heat consumption, good reliability, low emission and long service life. With the power output ranging from 550kW to 800kW, it can meet the demand for mobile and fixed power generation and compressors. The technical indexes reached the world’s advanced level. It filled the blank in China’s closed-loop electric control gas engine. Innovations have been made in a series of key technologies, such as air fuel ratio closed-loop control, lean combustion, and highenergy intelligent digital ignition system. G12V190ZLDT gas engine mainly uses natural gas and is also suitable for low pressure resources like bio-gas and coal gas. It has a high adaptability for variable concentration gas tools.
    Design and Development of H16V190ZL Diesel Engine

    To meet the demand for high reliable power by 9000-meter electric drill rigs, offshore platform and large diesel gensets, replace the imported products and solve the bottlenecks in development of petroleum equipment, CNPC Jinan Diesel Power Equipment Company has developed H16V190ZL diesel engine which is supercharged, large-powered, low fuel-consuming, highly reliable and long in service life. The feasibility of diesel engine research and development was determined on the basis of investigation. Simulation analysis, such as BOOST and EXCITE, was used to design and calculate the general performance of diesel engine, turbocharged exhaust system, main part finite element, axial system, air distribution system and cooling and lubricating system, with the research and development targets determined. Maintenance and appearance of the whole engine was taken into full consideration while guaranteeing its structural reasonability and compactness. Manufacture of the prototype, type test and experiment of its performance were completed on the basis of optimized process design. All the indexes of performance reached and exceeded the designed standards, according to the results of experiment. Up to now, 116 diesel engines and generating units have been sold on the market, generating sales income of 180 million yuan. H16V190ZL diesel engine was a domestic leader and reached the world’s advanced level in terms of dynamic power, economical property and reliability.
    Study and Application of BH-OBM Oil-based Drilling Fluid System

    The efforts were focused on such problems as high temperature and high pressure (HTHP), shale borehole stability and lubricating drilling pipe in drilling deep wells, super-deep wells, complicated- structure wells and shale gas horizontal wells in the complicated formations. Modern molecular structure and design theory and methods were used for design and synthesis of core treatment agents, stressing the synergetic compatibility of chemical materials. As a result, the key chemicals for BH-OBM drilling fluid system were developed, such as primary emulsifier, wetting agent, rheological modifier, fatty amide-amine structure, and oily resin filtration reducer. Those chemicals formed BH-OBM drilling fluid system, including the oil-based drilling fluids of the full white oil, water-in-white-oil, full diesel and water-in-diesel series as well as the oil-based drilling fluid for shale gas formation. The temperature stability is up to 250℃ while the maximum density is up to 2. 40g/ cm3. BH-OBM has been used for more than wells in Tarim, Venezuela and Changning. Application results indicated this drilling fluid system is a good solution to a series of technological bottlenecks, such as borehole stability, barite sag, lubricating drilling pipes, borehole cleaning, and reservoir protection. It is of great significance to safety in quick drilling of hightemperature deep and super-deep wells and shale gas horizontal wells.
    BH-HDF-Solid-free Cleaning-type Spacer for Cementing

    This paper focuses on the core additives, such as the independently-developed soluble weighting agent and high-effective antisalt cleaning agent. Based on formula research, solid-free spacer BH-HDP was developed with its performance evaluated. The experiment results indicated that the density of spacer is adjustable at between 1. 00 and 1. 80 g/ cm3. The positive and negative error of the density is zero under the condition of 180℃, showing a good anti-temperature property. The spacer is the Newtonian fluid and easy to bring about turbulent flow replacement. The flushing efficiency for false filter cakes in the drilling fluid exceeds 90 percent. When drilling fluid, mud and spacer are mixed according to the different proportions, the liquidity index value is increased while the thickening coefficient value is reduced and the thickening time extended with a good compatibility. When used for cementing in Iraq’ s high-pressure salt gypsum formations, the solid-free cleaning-type spacer BH-HDP could effectively isolate drilling fluid and mud, improving the replacement efficiency, cleaning false filter cakes and raising the cementing quality. It has been used on the field for 121 well times, generating a turnover of 212. 5636 million yuan and US$30. 3662 million from exports.

    Clean production, energy saving and emission reduction are the main trends in the international energy sector and in response to the nation’s environmental policies at the present time. Energy-saving equipment for rigs is integrated with a number of latest and mature technologies, such as high voltage power distribution, harmonic suppression and reactive power compensation. The existing mechanical rigs and electric rigs are modernized by means of replacing oil with electricity. While satisfying the requirements on load by various drilling rigs, the efforts are focused on improving stability of electric control system for the rig, reducing fuel consumption and noise pollution, and saving operational cost of equipment.
    Research on Industrialization of Organic Clay Used for Oil-based Drilling Fluid

    CNPC Great Wall Drilling Company has developed and produced organic clay named Sinol Gel in large quantity for the purpose to localize oil-based drilling fluid, reduced OBM cost and improve its international competitiveness. Sinol Gel was produced by means of solid-liquid coupling method, which was used for the first time in China. The gelling ratio reached and even exceeded 98 percent while the temperature tolerance was up to 230℃. The performance of Sinol Gel was better than its domestic counterparts and could match with the world-leading organic clay from US MI Company. Helpful to clean production process, this product has been successfully used at more than 90 wells drilled with OBM in China’s Sichuan, Venezuela, Algeria, Cuba and Indonesia.
    CQ-HDEM Clay-free Oil-based Drilling Fluid Technology

    Conventional clay oil-based drilling fluid has a poor rheological property under high density, thus easily leading to well leakage. CNPC Chuanqing Drilling and Exploration Corporation has developed clay-free oil-based drilling fluid CQ-HDEM, which is based on emulsifier G326 and wetting agent G329. The main processing agents are localized as a result. The indoor experiment results indicated that this drilling fluid system has a good rheological property and a high electric stability. The density reaches 2. 50g/ cm3 while resistance to temperature is up to 160℃. As compared to conventional clay oil-based drilling fluid, the clay-free oil-based drilling fluid has a higher electric stability and a lower final gel strength, favorable for settlement of such problems as thickening of oil-based drilling fluid and lost circulation in complicated formation in case of high density. This drilling fluid system was in shale gas horizontal wells of Changning- Weiyuan and the project contracted by Shell in Sichuan, with good results achieved on the drilling sites. It is able to satisfy the demand for safety in quick drilling of shale gas horizontal wells.

    Integrated Drilling Design Software System V2. 0 is composed of data management modules including assignment management, well data management, drilling engineering design, standard data of drilling engineering design. It also has the functional modules including well trajectory design, wellbore structure design, casing strength check, drilling string design and check and hydraulics calculation. Drilling engineering design as well as calculation analysis and technological decision-making function can help complete drilling engineering design as well analysis and calculation for a variety of wells, such as straight well, directional well and horizontal well, supporting the design texts produced automatically from CNPC’s standard drilling engineering design templates and self-defined templates. In the area of conventional drilling design, the software system has the same functions of the advanced international drilling software as well as the additional new functions to satisfy the special domestic drilling design demands. More than 120 sets of the software system have been installed at PetroChina’s oilfield companies and engineering companies with 132 designers brought under relative training. It satisfy conventional drilling design demand, bring about data sharing, ensure drilling data security and improve drilling design and operational level.

    Airtight property of tubing-casing thread connection has a decisive effect on work safety and long-term operation of highpressure gas well and gas storage depot. The airtight inspection equipment for tubing-casing thread connection was successfully developed on the basis of the research on tubing - casing thread airtight and airtight inspection mechanism. The concept of non - simultaneous decontamination was innovatively put forward while a series of double-packer detection tools were designed. The airtight inspecting process technology for China’s tubing-casing thread connection was developed on the basis of innovative integration. The equipment has been used on the field in service of more than 10 wells, providing technological support for long-term operational safety and stability of high-pressure gas wells and gas storage depots.
    Application of Expandable Liner Hanger in Different Well Completion Methods

    To solve the problems in conventional slip-type liner hanger, expandable liner hanger is used for hanging well completion service. Expandable liner hanger has a series of characteristics, such as large drift diameter, short overlay segment, simple structure, solid hanging, small pedestal seat and wide applicable scope. This paper elaborates about the structural principles, process principles and application cases of expandable liner hanger used in three well completion methods - liner cementing, screen completion and half of cementing-and summarizes the applicable scope of the developed expandable liner hanger. This device has reliable annular sealing and liner hanging functions without the advanced packing risk in the tripping-in process. Currently, it has been used in more than 180 wells both at home and abroad, achieving good results in well completion service.
    LXGJ-1 Coiled Tubing Non-destructive Testing System

    LXGJ-1 coiled tubing non-destructive testing system can be used for field service at the oilfield and indoor coiled tubing testing at the oil base. It includes two main parts – defect detecting device and ovality detecting device. The testing system can effectively inspect thickness and local defects of coiled tubing according to magnetic leakage detecting principle. It uses the high-precision anti-interference displacement sensor to effectively inspect diameter of coiled tubing. The results from indoor tests and field application indicated that inspection on partial defects and ovality of coil tubing made by this system reached the API RP5C7 requirements. All the functional indexes of the whole system reached the same level of its international counterparts. The successful development and application of this system filled a blank in this technology at home and promoted China’s coiled tubing technological development and application. Non-destructive testing of coiled tubing in service can effectively avoid the hidden faults in service safety caused by failure of coiled tubing, save production cost and provide scientific data for application and management of coiled tubing. The testing system has a broad prospect for application.
    X70 SAWH Steel Pipe

    X70 SAWH steel pipe is used mainly for long-distance and high-pressure oil and natural gas pipelines. It has a series of characteristics, such as high efficiency, good economic performance, high toughness, strong weldability, good stability, safety and reliability, and a long service life. The specifications range from 610mm to 1067mm for outside diameter and from 7. 9mm to 17. 5mm for wall thickness. It adopts the low-stress spiral forming technology. The finished steel pipe has low residual stress and excellent lowtemperature Charpy impact toughness. X70 SAWH steel pipe has independent intellectual property right and reaches the world’s advanced level. A total of 129,400 tons of the steel pipe has been sold in recent three years, the highest amount of steel pipe currently used in the oil and gas pipeline projects both at home and abroad.

    Large diameter, high pressure and high steel grade are the development trends for natural gas pipelines worldwide. Pipeline develops towards super-large transmission capacity. Based on the conditions of the climatic environment of Northern Tianshan Mountain in Xinjiang and the natural gas pipeline with a diameter of 1422mm and pressure of 12MPa, the analysis was made of the technological bottlenecks related to the pipeline’ s quick-opening closure, such as complex-shaped structure, high pressure, large diameter, low temperature and high impact. Two sets of 12. 6MPa DN1550 safe self-locking quick-opening closure were developed for the OD1422 Natural Gas Pipeline on the basis of such measures as adoption of finite element analysis and stress-testing verification method, lowtemperature functional inspection of the whole device and innovative designs like structural optimization, material optimization and invention of buffering device. Performance testing and engineering application confirmed the reliability of the product.

    HFW steel pipe has a series of advantages, such as high precision of outside size, good homogeneity of wall thickness, costeffectiveness and high efficiency. Its application extends into a number of areas of seamless steel pipe. HFW steel pipe developed by Yangzhou Steel Pipe Company is a technological leader in the key production processes like edge milling, forming and high-frequency contact welding process. The edge milling machine adopts the tilting cylindrical cutting tool. The cutter has a diameter of 850mm. FFX forming technology can easily adjust the type of steel pipe with a reasonable structure. The new-type double electrode contact welding equipment can adjust pressure in an elastic way to reduce the scars caused by the electrode on the surface of steel pipe and prevent the electrode from being damaged. Based on the market demands and optimization of product categories, the company has completed development and production of various steel pipes dedicated to special applications, such as casings for ore pulp transmission, lowtemperature stations, low yield ratio, anti-acid steel pipes for ultra-high voltage electric transmission tower, X70M high-quality steel pipe and expandable casings.     Pipeline of high steel grade, large diameter and service under the extreme environment is the international frontier technology of oil and gas pipeline. The designed temperature is -45℃ for the domestic segment of the eastern Chinese-Russian natural gas pipeline project. Therefore, the research on pressure piping components for the project is of great urgency. This paper analyzes design, materials and manufacturing process of thermo - extruded tee and summarizes the key technologies of high steel graded, large - diameter and low - temperature thermo-extruded tee, such as structural design, raw material composition, thermoforming and heat treatment control, aiming to provide the related qualified products for the eastern Chinese-Russian low-temperature pipeline of X80 steel grade.

    As the main transmission line for instruments and equipment, cable plays an important role in effective operation of production control system. Particularly in the petroleum and chemical worksites which are required to meet the demand for high temperature resistance and fire resistance, the demand for special thermostability and fire-resistant cable is on the rise day by day. Based on the application characteristics of products and focusing on three areas of material, structure and process, the cable adopted temperature-resistant highmolecular material and was designed to have the winding refractory layer and the multi-core unequal cross section structure. It makes use of the technologies like seamless wrapping, high-temperature continuous extrusion and unequal core cabling, bringing about industrialization of products. As a domestic leader, the product can work long under the temperature of 180-200℃ and in flame for 90 minutes.

    This paper focuses on modification and mechanism study of anti-static temperature-resistant base material and domestic raw material for production of steel skeleton plastic composite pipe. Based on phosphate surface treatment technology and optimization of structural design for pipe pressure grade series, reinforced functional steel skeleton plastic composite pipe was put into mass production. As a result, traditional composite pipe can have some special functions, such as electrostatic conductivity and temperature resistance, in addition to the characteristics of double-sided anti-corrosion, anti-aging, and long service life (more than 50 years) . Reinforced functional steel skeleton plastic composite pipe was widely used for oil and gas gathering and transferring of oil fields, mines and chemical enterprises as well as urban water supply, heating, drainage and transmission of high-pressure fuel gas, expanding the application area of pipe. Currently, the annual sales of product are about 260 kilometers while the revenues reach 100 million yuan.

    Integrated natural gas gathering unit was developed to solve the bottlenecks facing Changqing gas field, such as short construction time and difficult control over high investment. The procedure and operational management of digital gas-gathering station (GGS) at Sulige gas field were analyzed in research and development of the unit, integrating and optimizing functions of different process areas of the digital GGS. A new three-way valve and a knock-out drum were developed while a series of units was integrated into a skid, such as various pipes, process equipment, pressure vessels, intelligent control system and electrical devices. The unit was mainly used for gas-liquid separation, switching, flashing, automatic drainage, metering, pigging and fuel gas supply. It is suitable for a non-acidic GGS with medium to low pressure. It could replace a conventional non-pressurized GGS of a gas field. With the unit applied, the construction period of a GGS was shortened for more than 12 days and the land use was reduced by more than 35 percent as compared to a digital GGS. The engineering investment for a single GGS could be reduced by more than 1 million yuan.

    Changqing Gas Field has depended on import of the skid-mounted natural gas TEG dehydration unit for a long period of time. To change this unfavorable situation, the procedure and operational management of digital gas-gathering station (GGS) at Changqing Gas Field were analyzed with the efforts to optimize natural gas TEG dehydration process, install the advanced control system and innovatively develop the domestic-leading large-scale skid-amounted dehydration unit (200?04 -500?04m3 / d), further meeting the demand of gas field production and development. The main function of the unit include TEG dehydration, glycol regeneration, heating rectification, flashing, recycle, heat exchange and knock out. The construction period of the dehydration unit was reduced by more than 50 percent and land use reduced by more than by more than 30 percent. Large-scale application allowed investment to decline by more than 30 percent. Integration of the unit improved the technological level of skid while modeling of the unit raised installation quality, convenient for operation and maintenance.

    Automation control software for oil and gas gathering and transferring is the software of the SCADA system developed by the Pipelines Bureau with an independent intellectual property right. Localization of large-scale oil and gas pipeline SCADA system software can both satisfy the demand by the large-scale oil and gas adjustment and distribution center in the pipeline automation area and the demand by the regional center and station controlling systems. Meanwhile, it can be also used in the urban pipeline networks, oilfields, LNG receiving stations, oil and gas storage depots and water treatment centers. The software adopts a series of technologies, such as taskoriented memory management technology, VQT data-compressed technology, plug-and-play high-efficiency component implementation technology, unified discovery-and-access technology for real-time distributed systems, engineering configuration reusable technology, WYSIWYG online configuration technology, HMI and oil and gas pipeline control chart-model library integration. It integrates professional control functions of pipeline regulate and control. Its flexible extension and modular deployment can help acquire, store, process, display, regulate and protect the core data in operation of oil and gas pipelines while optimizing operation of pipelines and analysis of data.

    X70 and X80 steel grade longitudinally submerged arc welding pipe was developed to satisfy the demand by the country’s highstrength pipeline construction projects. Based on the research efforts to design chemical components of raw materials and develop the key technology for pipe molding and welding and the related materials, the products of X70 and X80 longitudinally submerged arc welding pipe can be used in the geologically-harsh areas, such as fault zones, earthquake and landslide regions, and deepwater zones. The “ferrite + bainite” diphase microstructure with the large deformation characteristics was developed on the basis of the research on the low-carbon multi -microalloying component design method, rolling controlled technology and special online cooling technology. As a result, the X70 and X80 steel grade large deformation plates were successfully developed in China for the first time and used in large quantities for China-Burma pipeline, breaking the long-term technological blockade and monopoly of the high-end design-based-on-strain longitudinally submerged arc steel pipe products by European, American and Japanese steel pipe enterprises. The products are equal to their foreign counterparts in terms of functions and even economically better.

    Based on the domestic and international standards for technical specifications on X70 and X80 welded pipes, this article analyzes the chemical composition of low-alloy, high-strength and tough X70 and X80 hot-rolled coiled plates and their welding material alloy system as well as the composition determination method. It also focuses on the technological bottlenecks of residual stress for development of domestic X70 and X80 spiral steel pipe. The residual stress distributed under the different work processes was compared in the different pipemaking processes and then the residual stress control method was proposed for spiral submerged arc welded pipe. Based on production for India’s Relais natural gas pipeline project and the eastern segment of Sino-Russian pipeline project, it was confirmed that toughness and residual stress of X70 and X80 spiral welded pipe products are well controlled thanks to adoption of low-alloy, high-strength and tough coiled plates and welding materials as well as the reasonable residual stress control method. With all functional indexes satisfying the demand for technological conditions, the product is a domestic leader in the area in terms of quality and fills a blank both at home and abroad.

    Based on the technological research for years, Baoji Petroleum Steel Pipe Co Ltd has owned a complete set of key technologies for manufacture of coiled tubing with its own independent intellectual property rights, breaking the long-term foreign blockade and monopoly of the key technologies for coiled tubing manufacture and filling a domestic blank in this area. The company has developed a system of homemade coiled tubing, which is complete in category and specification and applicable for multiple purposes with serialization of steel grade. The products include four main categories of coiled tubing (work string), tapered coiled tubing, coiled velocity string and coil tubing line. Tests indicate that the products meet the requirements of the related standards in terms of chemical components, mechanics, plasticity and corrosion resistance.

    Conventional walking-beam pumping unit is the earliest and most widely-used mechanical oil production unit. It has a series of disadvantages owing to limitation of its structure, such as bad counterbalance effect, high energy consumption, short stroke and low pumping efficiency. With the demand for energy saving and long stroke becoming increasingly high in recent years, conventional walking-beam pumping unit is no longer suitable for production of oilfields. Therefore, the family of curved beam pumping units is developed on the basis of the beam variable torque principle. Transformation of the beam shape and the equilibrium position can effectively reduce the peak torque of the decelerator’s output shaft, thus saving electric energy from 15 percent to 30 percent. This new-type energy-saving oil production equipment has the benefits of double horse-head pumping unit, good balance and energy saving, and the benefits of conventional walkingbeam pumping unit, simple structure, reliability for application, and easy operation and maintenance. It is suitable for oil production under various working conditions.

    Currently, the technology of hydraulic jet annular sand fracturing for oil horizontal wells is one of the main ways for fracturing of low-permeability reservoirs in Changqing Oilfield. To solve the problems with conventional expandable packer in the process of service, such as difficult for sealing, easy to unset and low efficiency, CQ-TDY hydraulic jet volume-fracturing tubing is developed on the basis of developing some core tools, such as the cylinder which can be set and released repeatedly, high-strength TDY bottom packer and antiscour injector. CQ-TDY frac string can make simultaneous injections into tubing and casing annulus, meeting the demand for 8m3/ min injection. The single frac string can be used for 14 fractured intervals in fracturing. The efficiency is three to five times higher as compared to conventional hydraulic jet fracturing string. This string has been used cumulatively for 3260 intervals at 427 wells in Changqing Oilfield, with 219 wells completed by a single string. A single CQ-TDY frac string can satisfy service of eight intervals on average. High efficiency and reliable inter-zonal isolation substantially reduce the labor intensity and give CQ-TDY frac tool a broad prospect for application.

    Heavy oil cannot flow easily thanks to its high viscosity. The steam generator of oilfield uses oil, natural gas and coal as fuels to produce high - temperature steam to facilitate heavy oil production. Heavy oil production is gradually on the decline in the oilfield development process. Some wells cannot be brought under effective production owing to complicated well conditions. Therefore, the family of new-type steam generators was developed on the basis of conventional wet saturated steam generator after the study of the parameters,such as steam pressure, temperature, evaporation capacity and degree of dryness, consideration of the actual production and application. A series of production methods, such as saturated steam stimulation, superheated steam drive, SAGD, and high parameter steam injection, was used according to the different production conditions. On one hand,the cost was reduced and the heavy oil production was raised on the other. Based on field application of a variety of products, the indexes of parameters satisfied the requirements of design and application. The generator was in stable operation.

    Volume-fracturing technology for tight oil and gas fields is continually under development. Fracturing fluid is required to be transformed from conventional crosslinked gel to low-viscosity gliding water system. EM30 gliding-water fracturing fluid system for tight oil and gas is developed in highlight of drag reduction agent, anti-slugging agent and anti-expansion agent. The fluid system is continually optimized on the basis of inspecting and evaluating functions of the product and technically characterized in low friction, low viscosity, low damage and low cost. It can be continuously mixed and recoverable. A total of 4 million cubic meters of fluid have been cumulatively used in renovation of tight oil and gas reservoirs so that EM 30 becomes the main fracturing fluid for renovation of tight reservoirs in Ordos Basin. The recovery rate of flow-back fluid reaches 85 percent, saving water consumption by 30 percent and reducing the cost by 500 million yuan. The social and economic performance of EM30 is remarkable.

    Currently, corrosion is a serious problem in the production process of oil and gas fields and calls for a series of anti-corrosion and bias-abrasion resistant sucker rods with a high cost performance. The compound electroplating method is used to plate tungsten alloy on the surface of sucker rod. The coating formed a nano crystalline structure in non-crystalline state. Innovations were made in alloy compositions, electroplating process and environmental treatment. The tests on anti-corrosion performance and comparison of strength indicated that tungsten alloy plating effectively improved anti-corrosion and anti-wearing performance and extended the service life of sucker rod and it s coupling under the harsh and corrosive environments. Tungsten alloy plated sucker rods have good application results at domestic and foreign oilfields, effectively preventing corrosion, scaling and bias abrasion and reducing the oil production cost. With all technological indexes satisfying the requirements of oilfields, tungsten alloy plated sucker rod method is a technological leader both at home and abroad.

    Cementing truck is the main equipment for oil production and plays a key role in construction of oil wells. Traditional cementing truck has some problems, such as small displacement, low efficiency of transmission and low automation. Therefore, a new-type cementing truck was designed with innovations made in the mixing system, transmission system and control system. As a result, the cementing truck was improved for its stirring ability, transmission efficiency and automation degree. The maximum work pressure of the new-type cementing truck is 40MPa, the maximum displacement 1. 7m3 / min, the maximum mixing ability 2m3 / min, the mixed density 1-2. 2g/ cm3 and the mixing precision ?. 003/ cm3. It is in line with the development trend for large displacement and high automation.
    Ultra-low Concentration Hydroxypropyl Guar Gum Fracturing Fluid System

    To establish the green development conceptions of cost-effectiveness, low damage and environmental-friendliness, an efficient crosslinking agent was developed for low-permeability reservoirs. The crosslinking agent is based on long-chain multi-point chelating technology to increase the chain length of crosslinking agent. The ternary composite gel-breaking technology was developed to solve the bottlenecks of low temperature (20-40℃)of CBM well and gel breaking. With the formula system of the 30-163℃) fracturing fluid series developed, the consumption of thickening agent was reduced by 30-50 percent and the formation damage rate reduced by 30-40 percent under the same temperature condition while the material cost was lowered by more than 30 percent. The lowest crosslinking limit of the crosslinkiing agent reaches 0. 10 percent. This crosslinking agent was used in 1368 intervals at 979 wells in Changqing Oilfield, Jidong Oilfield, Huabei Oilfield, Turpan-Hami Oilfield and CBM fields, with a success rate of 100 percent. The production of tested wells was increased by 2.5 to 5.3 times, allowing a promising prospect for application. It provides technical support for effective development of lowpermeability oil and gas reservoirs and tight oil and gas reservoirs.

    Solar driving auto-balance beam pumping unit was designed and developed to solve the unbalancing conditions of beam pumping unit and reduce the labor intensity of balance-adjusting work. A special tail beam assembly part is installed at the tail of the beam pumping unit that is driven by solar energy and able to adjust the balance weight automatically. The tail beam assembly part includes the solar-driven vernier counterweights and control system. The control system can collect the real-time parameters to figure out the degree of balance and move the counterweights forward and backward according to the degree of balance and adjust the balance of beam pumping unit by means of the wireless transmission method. With a wide scope for balance adjustment, high automation and a modular and plug-in design, this product is highly adaptable for the environments, reliable in safety and stability, and convenient for assembly and calls for a small amount of work for renovation of the work site. It plays an active role in improvement of the field management and reduction of energy consumption.
    Development and Application of RP120 Recyclable Fracturing Fluid

    Focusing on the study of polymer fracturing fluid, the G551 polymer thickener and the G552 organic Al-Zr crosslinker were developed with the advantages of instant dissolution. They formed RP120 – a new type recyclable polymer fracturing fluid characterized for good temperature tolerance, salt stability, low damage, low residue, continuous mixing and recovered for re-application -- to solve the problems existing in the fracturing flowback fluid treatment in Changqing Gas Field. The technological process of fracturing service is “continuous mixing – fracturing service – flowback fluid recycle for re-application. ” It has been cumulatively used in 191 intervals (sections) at 51 wells, effectively solving a series of bottlenecks, such as complexity of flowback fluid treatment process and low recycle rate. The application rate of recycled flowback fluid reaches 95 percent, providing technical support for clean production at Chang Gas Field.

    Fracturing pump valve box (2300, 2500 and 2800) for unconventional oil and gas fields is widely used in fracturing service for shale gas field development in Sichuan-Chongqing region. This series of new-type fracturing pump valve boxes is based on innovation of materials, structure and manufacturing process. The inner structure is suitable for double guide rod valve and the overall structure replaces dividing structure. With application of static pressure self-enhanced treatment technology, rolling treatment technology and shot blasting strengthening technology, the product is characterized for high pressure resistance, stabilization, high safety and long service life. It has a good ability against corrosion, alternating stress and fatigue stress in the harsh service environment of high pressure, large displacement and long time. The service life is raised by more than 200 hours under the work pressure of 70-105MPa. The work time surpasses the domestic product of the same kind by more than 30 percent, effectively lowering the service cost.

    CO2 dry sand fracturing technology is superior for fracturing development of the strong water-sensitive and water-lock formations, bringing unconventional oil and gas reservoirs like tight gas and shale gas under effective development. The core equipment of technology is the CO2 enclosed sand mixing device. Based on the technological requirements and years of research efforts, the CO2 enclosed sand mixing device with independent intellectual property is developed to break the foreign technological monopoly. It reached the world’s advanced level in terms of technological functions. Field applications indicated that this device can mix the proppant and liquid CO2 in the proportion of the service requirements under the conditions of closed pressure and transmit the fluid into the fracturing vehicles, meeting the requirements designed as high reliability and safety. Application has achieved a good performance in stimulation of production. The yield from a well with a sand injection of less than 10m3 is increased by 20-30 percent on average. The open flow capacity of the well with a maximum sand injection reached 247,560 cubic meters and the productivity of the well was raised by more than 50 percent as compared to a conventionally fractured well, laying a firm foundation for wider application of CO2 dry sand fracturing technology.

    A high temperature resistant fracturing specially designed for tight reservoirs to control water locking is focused on settlement of the bottleneck that conventional water-based fracturing fluid system, which easily causes water-locking damage in fracturing of tight oil and gas reservoirs, making higher production impossible after fracturing operation. Water-locking inhibitor and water soluble cationic are combined to reduce the capillary resistance of fracturing fluid in the pores of reservoir and effective solve the problem of water locking easily caused by water-based fracturing fluid at the time of fracturing the low-permeability and tight oil and gas reservoirs. Meanwhile, the multiheaded crosslinked organic boron crosslinking agent is used to make the fracturing fluid crosslinked into a complicatedly-structured gel, significantly improving strength, temperature and anti-shearing capacity of the gel. The results of field application indicated that this product can substantially raise production and economic performance in fracturing of low-permeability and tight oil and gas reservoirs.

    The Company has created a business model of production-marketing-research integration to solve the problems, such as poor quality and functions of products and the existing gaps as compared to the advanced international level.     To produce high-graded naphthene-base white rubber oil, the three-stage high-pressure hydrogenation process was adopted in the efforts for optimization of catalysts and matching proportions. Non-hydrocarbon compounds and unsaturated keys were deeply removed to maximize reservation of naphthene-base components in rubber oil products. As a result, products of the KNH series were developed on the basis of those efforts. The products have excellent compatibility between rubber and additives and excellent anti - yellowing, low - temperature, safety and environmental performance. The anti-yellowing level exceeded 4. 5 grades. The product becomes a market leader in the naphthene white rubber oil both at home and abroad and helps China establish its presence in the international market in this area.

    To localize the core design and manufacturing technologies of LNG large - scale ORV and solve the existing technological problems, heat transfer mechanism of high-effective LNG heat-exchanging tube was brought under numerical simulation. LNG large-scale ORV was localized on the basis of research and development of the key manufacturing technology. The equipment was satisfactory for industrial application. The operational results indicated that sea water distribution formed a uniform and stable film on the tube surface. The surface coating of the gasifier has a high-strength combination without any coating coming off. ORV gasification capacity satisfies the process requirements with all the data reaching the standards. The equipment is in stable operation. No leakage, distortion or vibration took place in the operational process. Industrial operation of LNG ORV is in line with the relative technological requirements.

    There are mainly two kinds of catalysts for first-stage hydrogenation of pyrolysis gasoline at home – Pd-based catalyst and Nibased catalyst. In recent years, the properties of pyrolysis gasoline from some of refineries became complicated, varied and high in impurity content, leading to inadequate adaptability of Pd-based catalysts. Ni-based catalyst is strongly adaptable for feed and superior in price. Therefore, Ni-based catalyst has become the first option for newly-constructed ethylene manufacturers in recent years. The domestic market share is on the rise. PetroChina Lanzhou Petrochemical Research Center has successfully developed LY-2008 – a Ni-based catalyst for first-stage hydrogenation of pyrolysis gasoline, which uses the additive to improve dispersion and reduction functions of active components. LY-2008 has completed ex-situ passivation, shortened the construction period by 60 percent and increased selectivity by three to six percentages. The LY-2008 catalyst is characterized for low-temperature hydrogenation, high hydrogenation selectivity and stability and strong resistant ability against sulfur and arsenic. It can be widely used for first-stage hydrogenation of C5 -C8, C6 -C7, C6 -C8, and C5 -C9 fractions. LY-2008 is as good as its foreign counterpart in terms of performance and has a promising prospect for wide application.

    To fill the domestic blank in the area of high-viscosity food-graded white oil, PetroChina Karamay Petrochemical Co Ltd used heavy distillate as raw material and adopted the four-stage high-pressure hydrogenation process for production of No. 4 high-viscosity foodgraded white oil. The product meets the requirements of GB1886. 215- 2016 thanks to its small evaporating loss, appropriate carbon structure and viscosity and good photostability and thermal stability, reaching the quality level of its foreign counterparts. This paper introduces the production process and compares the Chinese and foreign standards and the performances of the products of the same kind. It also analyzes the application cases in polystyrene production.

    The domestic demand for ethylene has been on the rise in recent years. Wide application of C4, C5 and C9 becomes a focus of attention. The LY-2005 high-nickel catalyst, developed by PetroChina Lanzhou Petrochemical Research Center, is suitable for deeplysaturated hydrogenation of medium to low distillate oil, such as C4, C5 and C9. In the development process of the catalyst, natural largepore mineral auxiliary pore-making technology is innovatively used to maximize olefin saturation activity of the catalyst and improve antisulfur properties of the catalyst by means of introducing electronic additive technology. This catalyst has three process characteristics. First of all, it is a high-nickel catalyst with cost-effectiveness and stronger anti-impurity ability as compared to precious metal catalysts. Secondly, it is of low hydrogenation reaction temperature and reaction can take place at the room temperature. Thirdly, it has good hydrogenation stability and activity with an industrial operational period of more than five years, making the alkene content of hydrogenation products less than 0. 1 percent.

    Selective hydrogenation for acetylene removal holds the key to preparation of polymer-graded ethylene. LY-C2 -02 catalyst is used in the ethylene plant of sequential separation process in the petrochemical industry. C2 fraction from deethanate column is fed into the hydrogenation unit after measured hydro-treatment. Acetylene is hydrogenated under action of the catalyst to be turned into ethylene, thus removing acetylene completely from C2 fraction. Prevention of ethylene hydrogenation is the key link in the C2 selective hydrogenation process, because ethylene from hydrogenation of acetylene is likely to be turned into acetylene again after hydrogenation. LY-C2 -02 catalyst is an integration of various technologies and adopts a multi-stage distributed pore structure with the characteristics of high activity and good selectivity. Selectivity of LY-C2 -02 catalyst is improved by 20 percent as compared to the traditional catalysts. The general performance reaches the world advanced level, with the indexes of selectivity leading the catalysts of the same kind. It has been used in the ethylene plants of post hydrotreating process at Lanzhou Petrochemical Company, Liaoyang Petrochemical Company and Daqing Petrochemical Company and achieved remarkable economic results with a great application value.

    Paraffin hydrofining catalyst of the SD series is developed to adapt the inferior tendency of paraffin feedstocks and meet the requirements on a better product quality and expansion of units. To solve the problems of high impurity content and strong diffusion resistance of paraffin and microcrystalline wax, the improved carrier preparation process was adopted to make the carrier have large pore volume, strong impurity-containing capacity and better feedstock adaptability by means of special high-temperature modification treatment. With W-Ni used as active components, the catalyst displayed excellent HDS, HDN and aromatics saturation performances. This catalyst was mainly used for hydrotreatment of the 54# -68# paraffin and 70# -75# microcrystalline wax. The products can be in line with the latest national and international specifications on quality. The paraffin and microcrystalline wax products from the high-pressure hydrogenation process can meet the requirements American FDA food - graded specifications on paraffin products. The catalyst has come under industrialized application for a dozen of times, creating good economic benefits for paraffin production enterprises.

    In response to the increasingly strict environmental requirements, PetroChina Fushun Petrochemical Company developed FCC gasoline hydrogenation catalyst FO-35M. This catalyst adopts special nanometer molecular sieve, advanced carrier surface acidity regulation and equally-dispersed active component technology. Under the same olefin reduction, olefins in FCC gasoline are turned into high octane number aromatic hydrocarbons and isomerization alkane by means of aromatization and isomerization reaction. The catalyst is characterized for less loss of octane number, high liquid products yield and certain desulfurization effect. Based on combination with FCC gasoline selective desulfurization catalyst ( DSO) developed by PetroChina Petrochemical Research Institute, FCC gasoline hydrogenation modification M-DSO technology can satisfy the demand for upgrading the quality of China V gasoline at the refinery. This catalyst has been put into industrial application at PetroChina’s Urumuqi Petrochemical Company, Yumen Oil Refinery and Taxinan Petrochemical Company. With good application results, the catalyst becomes a technological leader in China.
    LY-DBiso-03 and PDB-02 Catalysts for Pre-hydrogenation of Alkylation Feedstock

    Alkylated gasoline feed of C4 mixture is the excellent gasoline blending component because it is characterized for high octane number, low sulfur and low olefins. The pre-hydrogenation unit of alkylation feedstock is the key part for alkylation process to remove some trace butadiene from the feedstock while mono-olefins are basically prevented from any losses. The Pd-based pre-hydrogenation catalysts for alkylation feedstock developed by PetroChina Lanzhou Petrochemical Research Center have a number of characteristics, such as high hydrogenation activity, high selectivity and high hydrogenation stability. LY-DBiso-03 catalyst is suitable for two-bed hydrogenation process with the hydrogenation rate of butadiene exceeding 99 percent. The 1-butene isomerization is more than 80 percent of the 2-butene isomerization rate. The yield of butene exceeds 99 percent. PDB-02 catalyst is suitable for single-bed hydrogenation process. The butadiene content in hydrogenation products is equal to or lower than 50μg/ g while the mono-olefin yield is equal to or higher than 100 percent.

    WGS is widely used for desulfurization in FCC facility, sulfur recovery unit and power plant thanks to its zero pressure drop and high efficiency to remove sulfur dioxide. Jet ventruri is the key equipment for the technology and has a direct impact on pressure drop and dust removal efficiency of the desulfurization system. PCNE has developed jet ventruris in 10 specifications, which are successfully used in more than 30 WGS projects, achieving good results for purification of flue gas. The sulfur dioxide content of more than 90 percent of purified flue gas is lower than 10mg/ m3 and the particle-removing rate of more than 70 percent of purified flue gas is lower than 30mg/ m3.
