Abstract: Heavy oil cannot flow easily thanks to its high viscosity. The steam generator of oilfield uses oil, natural gas and coal as fuels to produce high - temperature steam to facilitate heavy oil production. Heavy oil production is gradually on the decline in the oilfield development process. Some wells cannot be brought under effective production owing to complicated well conditions. Therefore, the family of new-type steam generators was developed on the basis of conventional wet saturated steam generator after the study of the parameters,such as steam pressure, temperature, evaporation capacity and degree of dryness, consideration of the actual production and application. A series of production methods, such as saturated steam stimulation, superheated steam drive, SAGD, and high parameter steam injection, was used according to the different production conditions. On one hand,the cost was reduced and the heavy oil production was raised on the other. Based on field application of a variety of products, the indexes of parameters satisfied the requirements of design and application. The generator was in stable operation.
